Brown chicken on both sides in batches. Dip chicken into egg mixture and then into bread crumb mixture; repeat steps for remaining chicken and set aside on a plate. Heat and simmer, uncovered, until the chicken meat falls off of the bones (skim off foam every so often). Set opened steamer basket directly on ingredients in pot and pour over water.

- Remove some broth from crock pot and place in pan on stove. Bring to a slow boil.
- Lump small amounts of dumpling dough into pan, let simmer for 10 minutes.
- Place dumplings and broth back into crock pot, mix together. Add in corn starch if you prefer soup to be on the thicker side.
Heat and simmer, uncovered, until the chicken meat falls off of the bones (skim off foam every so often). Set opened steamer basket directly on ingredients in pot and pour over water.
